This is easy to accomplish with Johnson’s 100SD sliding bypass door hardware. You can use it with virtually any metal or wood door from 1” to 2 ¼” thick, up to 48” wide, and weighing up to 200 lbs.

The 100SD features an adjustable door guide to accommodate for various door thicknesses. Patented “tricycle” hangers with 1” diameter wheels ride smoothly and quietly on convex shaped rails with single point contact. There’s also a quick release clip for easy mounting or dismounting of doors.

Johnson’s 100SD Hardware with available Soft-Close works well in pantries, home offices, bedrooms, laundry rooms and just about any rooms in your home. The 100SD allows you to choose your own doors and ensure that they will glide smoothly. It also designed to enable you to trim the doorway with any door casing you choose to match the room decor (trim not included).

The 100SD is top hung  hardware, therefore it doesn’t have a bottom track. So it’s easy to pull out containers or boxes stored on the closet floor. This is particularly helpful when the doors are used to hide a washer/dryer. It gives you the ability to pull them out, without having to lift them over a bottom track.
